Scrap bin overflowing?? Not sure what to do with smaller pieces but don't want to bin them? Come an join our teacher Allison Reid in the art of scrap busting. Raid your scrap bin and learn how to turn your tiny scraps into useful bigger pieces. Learn how to start your own leaders and enders project, crazy patchwork and more! This class is perfect for adventurous patchwork beginners who have made a few blocks in the past and know the basics of cutting and piecing. Please note, this class will cover the construction of the block only.
About your teacher: Allison first discover patchwork and quilting in 2009 and it soon became her obsession. She is inspired by the vast array of beautiful fabrics, threads,patterns and techniques. She is continually building and discovering new skills and enjoys sharing what she had learned with other patchwork and quilting enthusiasts. She designs, makes and sells quilts, table runners, cushions as well as her very own quilt pattern under New Every Morning Quilts. Materials: Students will need to bring or buy fabric and other haberdashery for this class. Please bring your own sewing machines for the class and other tools will be provided. Fabrics and sewing supplies are available to purchase from our shop. Students will received 10% off on the day of the class. Once registered, you will received a list of materials required for the class.
Skills: Student should be able to use the sewing machine independently, know the basics of rotary cutting, piecing with 1/4 seam allowance.
