During the two-hour class, we will guide you through the basics of operating the sewing machine. These includes, threading the machine, winding bobbins, changing the needle, starting and stopping, sewing straight lines and different stitches and tension control. You will also learn to sew seams and hems. This is a class solely on sewing machine basics and there will be no complete projects.
Materials: Students will need to bring or buy fabric and other haberdashery for this class. Please bring your own sewing machines (and the manual) and a basic sewing kit which includes threads, scissors and pins for the class and other tools will be provided. Your sewing machine MUST be in working order. Fabrics and sewing supplies are available to purchase from our shop. Students will received 10% off on the day of the class. Once registered, you will received a list of materials required for the class.
